Ionel Perlea is an emblematic Romanian conductor and composer, born in 1900 in Ograda commune, Ialomita county. "Ionel Perlea Memorial House was established in 1983, operating next to the Ialomita County Museum and included in the list of historical monuments of 1991-1992 of the National Commission of Monuments, Ensembles and Historic Sites. Following a decision of the Ialomita County Council, since 2001 it has passed into the administration of the UNESCO Cultural Center "Ionel Perlea" from Slobozia. "
